Katherine Chapman has spent her career in both the private and non-profit sectors, primarily in Nova Scotia.Her work enabled her to travel to all parts of the province which heightened her awareness not so much of regional differences, but those things we all have in common; love of family, concern for our neighbours, dedication to making life better for everyone.

Her commitment to social democracy was cemented by witnessing the impact of Alexa McDonough on the movement.

Dedicated to the work of the party, Katherine has had numerous executive positions at the riding and provincial level. Most recently as co-chair of the candidate search committee for this election, she was happy to put her name forward as NDP candidate for Glace Bay-Dominion.
